Finally the reason has been revealed!
Zack Snyder’s departure from the Justice League is a topic that remains on the rise. Since the director left the project, due to the suicide of his daughter, the internet has been filled with rumors, including those that pointed out that Snyder was fired from the film before the family tragedy. Now, as we prepare for the launch of the Snyder Cut, he’s finally revealed the real reason for his departure.
In an interview with Cinema Blend, Snyder said:
“I was just tired of it. I was at a time when I knew my family needed me more than this medicine, and I had to honor it and do my best to heal this world. I had no energy to fight [contra o estúdio]and fight [pelo filme]. Literally no energy for it. And I really think that was the main reason.
“I think there is a different world that I stayed in and kind of tried [fazer o filme]. And I’m sure I could have [finalizado Liga da Justiça]… Because every movie is a struggle, right? And I’m used to it. But I didn’t have the energy, I didn’t fight against myself. I had been conquered by what was going on in my life and I just didn’t want it, didn’t care … that’s where I was.
As we remember, after his departure, Justice League was taken over by Joss Whedon who drastically changed what Snyder had planned. Between the changes of tone, the controversy behind the scenes and the cutscenes, the film did not achieve the expected success. Now, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to release on HBO Max soon, ending the campaign by fans who have been screaming for the version to be released.
