Warner has vetoed it!
Zack Snyder’s Justice League debut, the long-awaited Justice League Director’s Cup, is drawing closer, meaning the trade press has started to cover the news with more force. In an article explaining how the “Snyder Cut” finally came to life, Vanity Fair magazine revealed an original shot from the director that Warner Bros. vetoed: a romance between Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck).
According to the post, Bruce Wayne would fall in love with Lois Lane on the eve of implementing the plan to resurrect Superman (Henry Cavill), finding himself in an internal conflict between saving the world or having the woman he loves. Of the idea, Zack Snyder said:
“The intention was for Bruce to fall in love with Lois and realize that the only way to save the world was to bring Superman back to life. So he had this insane conflict because Lois, of course, was still in love with Superman. We had a lovely dialogue where Bruce said to Alfred, ‘I never had a life outside the cave. I never imagined a world for myself beyond that. But this woman makes me think if I can get this group of gods together, then my job is done. I can go, I can stop. And of course, that doesn’t work for him.
In the report, Zack Snyder doesn’t explain why Warner vetoed the idea, but it doesn’t seem unlikely that the studio found the idea somewhat absurd. Lois Lane and Bruce Wayne’s romantic relationship isn’t exactly new, but it would still be too far removed from the original material.
When is Snyder Cut coming to Brazil?
Over the past week, it was confirmed that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will have a simultaneous global release, meaning it will be released on the same day in multiple countries around the world. However, the situation in Brazil, where HBO Max only arrives in June, was still unknown. Until there.
According to Gabriel Andriollo, director of HBO Latin America, the film will also arrive in Brazil on March 18, via PVOD. This means that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be available for rent online on major digital store platforms.
