Warner suggested launching the unfinished Snyder Cup

When Justice League hit theaters in 2017, it was only a matter of days before Zack Snyder fans started asking Warner to release the director’s original version, as he planned when he was still engaged in the project. Four years and a huge online fuss later, the “Snyder Cut” has become a reality, but a new interview with the film’s producer revealed that the studio’s intention was to release it as yet unfinished.

In an interview with the LightCast podcast, Deborah Snyder, the film’s producer, said that Warner’s intention was to release the new version of Justice League with special effects and a still unfinished soundtrack, which Zack Snyder was against. categorically opposed:

“When they approached us, we had to get a feel for what he was, because originally the studio was like, ‘You can just put the cut as it is.’ Zack said “no”. It was an argument. We couldn’t use the soundtrack. “If I’m going to do this, I’m going to do it the right way, otherwise it won’t be the right way.”

Deborah Snyder also spoke to the podcast about the challenges of ending production on Snydercut, now officially titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

“Just to find out the costs of the special effects, we did everything ourselves, so we put together a presentation that we could go into the studio with, and a lot of it was about the fans and what that meant to them. “

How will Zack Snyder’s version be?

Zack Snyder’s latest Justice League trailers have given fans several details on what to expect from this new version of Justice League. Darkseid will have a much bigger role in the plot, which will always show him as Uxas until his rise to power in Apokolips, alongside his minions Grandma Kindness and Desaad. The Steppe Wolf is still the main villain, but he will be very different from what was seen in the 2017 film.

Characters like Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) and serviceman Swanwick (Harry Lennix), who will actually reveal himself as the Mars Hunter, will also be in the film, having been cut from the version that has gone to theaters. Additionally, Snyder recorded new scenes for the project, involving Batman (Ben Affleck) and The Joker (Jared Leto), who will appear side-by-side in the Dark Knight’s nightmare world.
