Henry Cavill is delighted to return.
According to Deadline, the Man of Steel will return to theaters. According to the website, a reboot of the Superman franchise is being developed by Warner Bros. for theaters.
Ta-Nehisi Coates is currently developing the script for the film while JJ Abrams takes over production with Hannah Minghella. No details of the film’s plot have been released.
The deadline indicates that Henry Cavill is eager to return, but there is no confirmation that this will actually happen, as the project could be a full reboot and prompt another actor to live in Azulão. Variety says the search for a new performer for the hero has yet to begin.
In a statement, Coates said:
“To be invited to the DC Comics Extended Universe by Warner Bros., DC Films and Bad Robot is an honor. I can’t wait to make a meaningful addition to the legacy of America’s Most Mythical Hero. ”
“There is a powerful new Superman story to tell. We couldn’t be happier to work with the brilliant Mr. Coates, who will help us bring this story to the big screen, and we thank the Warner team for this opportunity.
Toby Emmerich, head of the Warner Bros. film group, praised Coates’ work:
“Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nehisi Coates, opened a window and changed the way many of us see the world. We’re confident his version of Superman will provide fans with an exciting new way of seeing the Man of Steel.
Coates is a bestselling author, with books like Between the World and Me and the Water Dance. He’s no newbie to comics, being responsible for one of the most acclaimed phases of the Black Panther, having worked with the Captain America comics as well.
It’s worth remembering that this isn’t JJ Abrams’ only project at DC Comics. He is developing the Dark Justice League and Constantine series for HBO Max.
Superman’s next appearance will be in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, where the character will be wearing his famous black suit. This writer is hoping that Henry Cavill will continue to play Man of Steel during the reboot. And you?
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to launch worldwide on March 18.
