Warner boss suggests new wizarding world project

In 1997, the world met the young wizard Harry Potter. The franchise created by JK Rowling has since grown into a worldwide success, with the launch of several books, films, plays and derivative stories. Now it looks like another project in the Wizarding World is coming.

WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar gave a recent interview in which he suggested the possibility that more content from the Wizarding World is in development. During a telecom, technology and media conference via The Hollywood Reporter, he said the company was expanding the Harry Potter universe:

“There’s this thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises. And we are very grateful to be able to team up with JK Rowling and then I would like to say that there is also a lot of fun and potential there ”.

The Harry Potter franchise continues in theaters with Fantastic Beasts.

Kilar did not specify what plans for the Wizarding World are in the works. Recent rumors say that a series is in development on HBO Max, but this has been denied by the programming manager of the streaming service.

Another interesting thing to note, the WarnerMedia Chief specifically cited JK Rowling, who has been the subject of much controversy on the internet after posting and sharing various transphobic texts and articles on his social networks.
