The ad may have hinted at the future of the MCU!

The seventh episode of WandaVision has arrived and, like the previous ones, featured advertising that may be bigger than it looks. Despite this, there is an important difference between this and the others: While at the beginning the commercials were quite symbolic of the traumas and tragedies experienced by Wanda, what is presented in the seventh episode may have more to do with the future. character and the Marvel Cinematic Universe than your past.
The scene features a fictitious antidepressant called Nexus, for people who feel the world has gone on without them and just want to be alone (via ScreenRant). The ad claims the drug is “a unique antidepressant that works by anchoring you to your reality – or any reality you choose.” And, as is the norm in medical advertisements, there’s a brief warning about side effects, although they’re not typical at all: it says the Nexus can make them “feel their feelings, confront their feelings. truths, take their fate, and possibly more depression ”.
As if that wasn’t evocative enough, the name of the drug goes further, since it can refer to two elements present in the comics that could be quite significant in the context of the series: the nexus beings and the Nexus. of All Realities.
In the comics, the Nexus of All Realities is an area where all realities are connected, allowing powerful wizards to pass. More than a passage or a place, the Nexus plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance between the different realities, because if the imbalance occurs, the structure would collapse, causing enormous destruction, since alternate realities would converge, destroying each other.
The existence of Nexos connecting different realities has already been introduced in the MCU itself. In Thor: The Dark World, astrophysicist Erik Selvig presents an explanation of the multiverse, and the image used by the scientist contains several pieces of information. While some are from real science, others have been taken from the comics, and there is a reference to the Nexus of All Realities.
Thor: Ragnarok also referred to the idea, showing the planet of Sakaar existing in the middle of an unstable network of portals, in addition to featuring a reference to the Man-Thing in the Grandmaster’s tower. In the comics, the character is tasked with protecting the Nexus from all realities, keeping the realities in balance.
The other possibility, on the other hand, concerns nexus beings, defined by the Watcher as “rare individual entities with the power to affect probabilities – and therefore the future”. Thus, there have been few Nexus Beings throughout history, although they are powerful individuals, and often have the ability to time travel, as is the case with Kang, the Conqueror, who is a nexus being in the comics, and who will. join the MCU in the upcoming Ant-Man movie. The most powerful of the Nexus beings, however, is said to be none other than Wanda Maximoff, who is said to be a key part of the multiverse itself.
At first, it’s unclear who of the two the name Nexus refers to, although both seem to be pretty plausible options, given all that is known about the future of the MCU so far. Despite this, the structure of the ad, as well as what it says in it, seems to offer clues that the ad is about the Nexus of All Realities, since the idea of the antidepressant suggests something outside of Wanda herself, that she makes use of. In this way, the character could have used the power of the Nexus to create her reality in Westview, although the question remains how she acquired the knowledge to do so.
In the comics, changes to the Nexus cause the multiverse to collide, which could lead to the destruction of several realities. If this is the case in the MCU, the intrigues of Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness must face the consequences of this, leaving the wizard to turn chaos and restore order to the multiverse.
