Marvel at DC’s house!
Movies based on Marvel Comics works like The New Mutants and Ghost Rider will land on HBO Max, streaming from WarnerMedia, starting in April. The two films, one from 2020 and one from 2007, are not produced by Marvel Studios, a Disney-owned company.
Although The New Mutants is now a Disney title, an agreement between the former 20th Century Fox and WarnerMedia prevents the film from being released on Disney +. Instead, the functionality arrives through the competitor’s service.
Ghost Rider, meanwhile, is a Sony Pictures production, which doesn’t have its own streaming service. The film, starring Nicholas Cage, is one of the most notable titles to hit the Warner platform in April.
The funny thing about the two titles coming into service is that American subscribers will be able to watch the stories of the Marvel heroes at the DC house, after all, this is where publisher’s Batman and Superman movies are. available, including the recent Justice League by Zack Snyder.
For now, HBO Max is a streaming service that works only in the United States. In Brazil, the forecast arrival is June 2021.
