Tom Holland says Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire won’t be in the movie

Spider-Man 3 is one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU, especially given all the rumors that suggest Spider-Man will be on the big screen, with Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire returning as Head of the Web. However, despite the hype and rumors, Tom Holland was blunt in saying that they are not in the movie.

In an interview with Esquire, Holland was asked about Garfield and Maguire’s presence in the film. The actor replied:

“No, no, they won’t appear in this movie. Unless they hid this gigantic piece of information from me, which I think is too big a secret for them to hide from me. But not yet. [O filme] it will be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we made.

It’s important to remember, however, that on several occasions the actors lied about the films’ plot to mislead the press. It’s also worth noting that, in a recent interview, Holland shied away from the subject, praising his colleagues saying they were friendly and that he hoped the two would enjoy his take on Spider-Man.

I’m apparently waiting for Spider-Man 3 to find out whether Holland is lying or not. What’s your bet? Comment!

Spider-Man’s third film is slated to hit theaters on December 16, 2021, and could also be changed if theaters aren’t fully open due to the coronavirus crisis. The film will deal with the aftermath left behind by Far From Home and is expected to bring new villains yet again in the form of Doctor Octopus and Electro.
