The actor still keeps the mystery …
One of the most anticipated future releases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man’s third film promises to be a blow, especially if the rumors published so far prove to be true. Many believe the film will delve deep into Spider-Man, again bringing us back Neighborhood Friends as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield alongside Tom Holland.
Tom Holland was recently interviewed by Variety to talk a bit about the film season in the United States. Additionally, he also commented a bit on the rumors and speculation surrounding the presence of Garfield and Maguire, as well as other actors from previous Friends of the Neighborhood franchises, in the third hero movie for the MCU:
“I have never met Kirsten Dunst. I have already met Andrew [Garfield] once at BAFTA, and he was adorable. We had a great conversation and it was right after the premiere of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. He’s really very positive and cool. I have already met Tobey [Maguire] sometimes at different parties in Los Angeles, and he was also really cool. They seem to be nice and very good people. Well, I hope they like our movie. Hope they like my Spider-Man.
Asked more keenly about the presence of these and other actors (like the Daredevil played by Charlie Cox, which will also be in the film according to some rumors), Holland spoke with a joke, which still makes us doubt:
“Don’t know. If that happens, they never told me.
Despite that, he still jokes, saying, “This is something Marvel would do. I would watch this film ”. More and more, it seems that the actor is playing with the public perception and what has been confirmed for the film or not. With the launch still slated for this year, it’s very likely that the trailers or ad campaign will already reveal whether these rumors are real or not, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Spider-Man’s third film is slated to hit theaters on December 17, 2021, and could also change if theaters aren’t fully open due to the coronavirus crisis. The film will deal with the aftermath left behind by Far From Home and is expected to bring new villains yet again in the form of Doctor Octopus and Electro.
