The game will have a carnival event at home

Niantic announced on Wednesday (10) that the Pokémon GO game will host a Home Carnival event exclusively for Latin America. The idea is to allow players to enjoy the February holidays without leaving their homes.

Among the highlights of the carnival event is a list of Pokémon that will be more easily drawn in, in addition to increased incense duration and a pack of free items.

Every year during this season, people from different parts of the world come together to celebrate Carnival. The festivities and streets of this period are among the most important recorded each year, with millions of people keeping traditions that originated centuries ago in Europe. Currently, these parties are extremely popular in Latin America, the Caribbean and, above all, Brazil!

In 2021, we won’t be able to celebrate carnival with our friends and families in parties and boulders like we are used to. But that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate with our Pokémon and connect virtually. So we’re very excited to bring the first home carnival celebration to Pokémon GO! “

Incense sticks will more easily attract certain Pokémon

The following Pokémon, which in a way represent the festive spirit of Carnival, should be found more often with the use of incense:

Diglett Jigglypuff Hitmontop Torchic Lotad Kricketot Bronzor Munna Emolga

Niantic warns that players can always find a Shiny Jigglypuff if they’re lucky. During the event, Incense will also last three hours.

What free items will be available?

The special carnival celebration will offer players a set of free, one-time items, which will contain:

50 Poké balls 2 incense sticks 10 raspberry fruits 1 ranged raid pass

Fifty Poké Balls will be available during the event

What days and times will the Pokémon GO Carnival event take place?

The event will take place from Thursday February 18 at 10:00 a.m. to Friday February 19 at 8:00 p.m.

On February 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., players will be able to participate in an hour-long raid with Kricketot. If you are very lucky you can always find a shiny Kricketot.

On February 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, it will be possible to participate in an hour of raids featuring Emolga.
