The game got Elon Musk thinking about the technology his company is developing

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla and co-founder of Neuralink, discussed his experience with Cyberpunk 2077 while attending The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he revealed the game gave him an awkward moment when he noticed similarities between cyber implants. The people of Night City and the technology developed by Neuralink.

Musk’s experience with the game would have even made the tycoon think about the possible future problems the technology would bring, although the time seemed to have passed relatively quickly, and Musk decided that the pros would outweigh the cons, as he did. told Rogan. :

“I was playing Cyberpunk [2077], the game, and I was like, uh, it’s too close. Like, wow, man. Like, where is he going? It can happen eventually. I’m just saying that for now it will help the people who really need it.

For those who don’t know, the Neuralink developed by the Musk company is nothing more than a chip, aimed at connecting the human brain to computers and mobile devices. The chip would be placed in contact with the skull and, in theory, could perform the functions of portable devices, such as smartwatches. The first objective of the project is to present solutions for people with spinal cord injury, although it also aims to help people with neurological problems.

It’s nothing new that Elon Musk likes Cyberpunk, as he previously praised the game for its visuals and design. Even before the launch of the latest CD Projekt project, Neuralink’s co-founder has interacted with the game’s official Twitter account several times, and Musk even plans to launch the game on Tesla Arcade, available on the brand’s cars. The singer and Musk’s wife, Grimes, was also involved in the Cyberpunk soundtrack, being a huge fan of the style.

Do you think Neuralink’s technology will benefit from this, or is there an opportunity to bring the world closer to Cyberpunk reality? Be sure to comment!
