Sylvester Stallone confirms which movie character he plays

Last year it was confirmed that Sylvester Stallone had joined the cast of The Suicide Squad in a mysterious role. Now, with the release of the film’s first trailer, we finally know who the actor is.

The actor, along with director James Gunn, used Twitter to confirm he was the voice of the King Shark, one of the highlights of the Suicide Squad trailer.

Stallone’s tweet says:

“Okay, Shark is coming to you!” The new SUICIDE SQUADRON thunders towards you! August 8! “

Director James Gunn, for his part, was even more didactic, saying:

“If you are wondering who this shark is … Sylvester Stallone is playing the King Shark.”

Sylvester Stallone is an actor known around the world for his work on Rocky: A Fighter and its sequels, including Creed: Born to Fight, released in 2015.

Despite being oddly cute, the King Shark appears to swallow one person and split another in the middle of the Suicide Squad trailer. In the comics, the character is a villain who was part of the Secret Society of Supervillains, Suicide Squad, and the Secret Sextet.

The Suicide Squad is slated to open on August 8, 2021 in theaters and on HBO Max.
