Spike Lee would agree to direct Marvel movie but says DC Comics is sticky

Spike Lee, director of films like Infiltrate on Klan and The Perfect Plan, has provided his thoughts on superhero films in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.

While some of his fellow directors, such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, have publicly delegitimized Marvel productions, Lee takes a different point of view.

In fact, the Oscar-winning filmmaker considers himself a fan of Casa das Ideias and reveals that he always preferred Marvel comics to DC stories, which he called “sticky.” Check-out:

“I have nothing against Marvel. I grew up reading Spiderman comics. For me, DC Comics has always been cheesy. It’s my point of view. I’ve always been on the Marvel side. I’m not campaigning for this, but if the opportunity arises to direct their film, I will consider it.

‘Blood Detachment’ is Lee’s latest film, released on Netflix

In addition to the films mentioned, Spike Lee is the director of highly acclaimed feature films such as Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X. His most recent work is the Netflix production, Blood Detachment, which featured one of the final works of the actor Chadwick Boseman.

So, would you love to see Spike Lee take the helm of a Marvel movie? If yes, which ones? Comment!
