Simu Liu opens up about heroic costume in new Marvel movie

In an interview with Toronto Life, the actor spoke about one of the moments that touched him the most while working on the film: the first time he tried on the costume. But soon he already hated having to use it. Liu said:

“The first time I wore the Shang-Chi superhero costume. Marvel never had an Asian protagonist, so it was such a rare and impactful moment, for me as an actor, but also for people like me. I almost cried, it was so emotional. And then of course in the fifth it says I was like, ‘My God I hate this thing, why are there so many zippers?’ “
