San Diego Comic Con 2021: the event will be fully online

The Covid-19 pandemic has yet to be brought under control globally, although vaccines are starting to tackle this and control cases, for this reason, San Diego Comic Con 2021, the biggest cheesy event in the world. year, will not be in person. As in 2020, the edition will be entirely online, but a face-to-face can take place in November.

According to Variety, the SDCC will take place on July 23, 24 and 25 in an online format. Organizers have warned, however, that they expect the convention to be able to do an in-person edition in November of this year.

“While we are excited about the vaccine launch and the growing number of people being vaccinated, it looks like July will still be too early to safely host a face-to-face event of Comic-Con’s magnitude,” said the official press release of the event. “While we regret postponing the Comic-Con face-to-face, our commitment to this community of fans and our celebration of comics and the popular arts remains an important part of who we are.

The biggest event of its kind, SDCC 2021, had its in-person meeting canceled.

The 2020 virtual edition didn’t bring much news to fans, a consequence of a troubled year involving the stopping of many filming and the postponement of many projects. This year, the studios have already succeeded in resuming filming and planning a few releases. Does that mean we’ll have more news in this edition? I’m just waiting to know.
