Producer talks about theory involving Fantastic Four

In the fourth episode of WandaVision, we found out that SWORD is dealing with the disappearance of some astronauts and that the reality Wanda and Vision find themselves in is surrounded by microwave cosmic background radiation (CMBR). By putting these two pieces of information together, the internet was bombarded with theories that it was a reference to the Fantastic Four and how they had acquired their powers. However, according to Jac Schaeffer, the producer of the series, this is no accident.

In an interview with Comic Book, Schaeffer said:

“I have to tell you that this thing with CMBR is a coincidence. When I was organizing my ideas, I was trying to find out “What’s the science behind the show?” How it works?’ When I was in college, I had a friend whose thesis was to create a machine capable of measuring CMBR. So I have always been very fascinated by this relic of radiation and the idea that a TV signal works. I will not be ashamed if I mention it … I never really understood how the TV signal works. I did a bit of research and we got this expert and she helped me out. CMBR was my original idea, separate from everything [da Marvel] like just my own fascination. The thing about how radio waves are in the depths of the universe, they just go and go. This all seems to be really fertile ground for a show about two Avengers on a sitcom.

The Fantastic Four movie in the MCU has already been announced by Kevin Feige

It is important to note, however, that the producer only explains the issue of microwave cosmic background radiation, but does not mention the missing astronauts. Will the Fantastic Four have a relationship with SWORD in the MCU? I’m just waiting to know!
