And it is magnificent!
Pixar’s new animation Luca just received its first trailer. The film is set in Italy and promises to tell the story of two boys who have become friends, one being a sea monster.
Luca follows in the footsteps of Soul, the studio’s acclaimed film released late last year. The direction is Enrico Casarosa, responsible for the short film nominated for Oscar La Luna, while the screenplay was written by Mike Jones and Jesse Andrews.

Below you can see Luca’s synopsis:
“Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, this original animated film is a maturing story about a young boy who experiences an unforgettable summer, filled with ice cream, macaroni and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his new best friend, but all that fun is threatened by a well-kept secret: he’s a sea monster from another world, well below the surface of the water.
Luca is scheduled to open in June 2021.
