Paranormal activity will restart with the director of Deep Threat

The Paranormal Activity horror franchise will be rebooted in the hands of Will Eubank, the director who launched Deep Threat in 2020.

The new paranormal activity will be produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli and Steven Schneider, the team that worked on the original films. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that he will continue to mimic the styling of the footage found.

William Eubank directed the horror and sci-fi feature film starring Kristen Stewart, Deep Threat, which received a warm reception from critics when it hit theaters in early 2020.

William Eubank embarks on new ‘paranormal activity’

The first Paranormal Activity movie premiered in 2007 and featured the story of a couple newly moved to a house apparently haunted by a demon. Subsequently, five more films in the franchise were released, all using “home” cameras to create a realism rooted in the genre of found images.

The restart of paranormal activity will be written by Christopher Landon of A Morte Te Dá Congratulations and opens on March 4, 2022.
