To be the man you have to beat the man and in Full Metal Dojo’s lightweight division, that man is Tommy Hayden.

And so, on Saturday 4 November, Hayden will step back into the Dojo for his first lightweight title defence since defeating Will Chope in February this year. Hayden will be facing Frenchman Jason Ponet (16-11-1) in the main event of FMD 15: Come Out to Play as he looks to extend his undefeated streak to four wins.

The 4 November card is also likely to see the return of welterweight Javier Trujillo, who is coming off two ferocious performances under the FMD banner.

The Halloween weekend card takes it’s inspiration from the 1979 cult movie, The Warriors, where a charismatic leader named Cyrus summons the street gangs of New York City in a bid to take it over.

FMD will invite MMA gangs from gyms across Southeast Asia to converge and compete in mortal combat inside the FMD cage. Each gang will be wearing their own movie-inspired uniforms, so all you boppers need to decide which gang to join to survive the night. Can you dig it?

If you can’t be there live at Insanity Nightclub, FMD will broadcast the event on Facebook from 8:30pm local time, with commentary from MMA vets Brian Ebersole and Brad Robinson.
