Chan Sung Jung will make his long-awaited return to the UFC on February 4 to face fellow 145-pound standout Dennis Bermudez.
“The Korean Zombie” has been on military service and not seen in the Octagon since August 2013. His bout with Bermudez will be the main event headliner for the UFC’s Super Bowl weekend event in Houston. The card will air live on FS1.
The UFC announced seven more bouts for the event on Saturday, highlighted by a co-main event featuring Mexican phenom Alexa Grasso against strawweight veteran Felice Herrig.
Also slated for the main card are bouts in the lightweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions, with Abel Trujillo facing Evan Dunham, Jan Blachowicz squaring off against Ovince Saint Preux and Justin Ledet taking on newcomer Dmitry Sosnovskiy.
In prelim action, heavyweight prospects Curtis Blaydes and Adam Milstead collide, lightweight prospects Johnny Case and James Vick meet in an intriguing 155-pound bout, and featherweights Chris Gruetzemacher and Chas Skelly face off.
