Road FC’s inaugural 125 lbs champion Jo Nam-Jo will face interim champion Song Min-Jong a unification bout on 9 October in Seoul. It is a rematch of a fight which happened last year with the former prevailing courtesy of a split decision.

Since claiming the belt Jo (10-6) has spent almost a year out injured before returning to action with a decision win for a small Chinese promotion in June. Meanwhile Song (7-7) became the interim champion when he outpointed Japan’s Takeshi Kasugai in February.

The bout pits two fighters together who have competitive experience far beyond their years with the 24 year old Jo having been a professional since 2008 and the 23 year old Song having made his debut in 2010.

They have both gone up against top class opposition in the 135 lbs and 125 lbs divisions with Jo having faced Dae Hwan Kim, Kevin belingon, Honggang Yao, Shinichi Kojima and Mikihito Yamagami and Song having been in with the likes of Kyung Ho Kang, Andrew Leone and Masakatsu Ueda.

The card will also feature a lightweight bout between Korean veteran Park Won Sik (11-5-1-1) and Japan’s Sasaki Shinji (14-8-3). ‘Parky’ retired from the sport due to a neck injury and last fought in 2013 but will be making his comeback at the Jangchung Gymnasium.

The third fight to have been announced is a heavyweight contest between Choi Mu-Bae and Siala-Mou Siliga. Road FC 26 will be streamed live on with the action getting underway at 8pm local time.
