ONE Championship reigning middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash defeated top contender Aung La N Sang in devastating style to retain his middleweight title.

From the opening rounds of the headline bout of ONE: Quest for Power, Bigdash took control of the fight, dominating N Sang in the standing and ground game. It was a spirited and technical performance from The Burmese Python, who took the fight on short notice, but eventually not enough to slow a storming Bigdash.

In the co-main event, 27-year-old Martin Nguyen put on a clinical striking display against Japanese veteran Kazunori Yokota, winning by technical knockout midway point through the first round.

Yokota stalked Nguyen, looking to throw combinations but Nguyen timed Yokota with an overhand right that dropped him to the canvas. From there, he jumped on his foe and rained down punches from the top to earn the stoppage victory.

Speaking after the event Nguyen’s team were sure another title shot against reigning featherweight champ Marat Gafurov.

Nguyen lands a perfectly timed right against his Japanese opponent.
