The highly anticipated match between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri will go ahead as scheduled after both boxers made weight in Macau this morning.

Algieri, the New York-based challenger for the WBO World Welterweight title, was forced into a second weigh-in after failing to make the catchweight limit of 144 lbs.

Manny Pacquiao weighed-in at 143.8 lbs and Algieri returned to the stage shortly after to weigh-in at 143.6 lbs.

Pacquiao and Algieri are scheduled to go 12 rounds for the welterweight title.

Algieri, undefeated in his 20 professional fights, faces a much experienced opponent in Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion.

“I like to fight undefeated fighters,” Pacquiao said after making weight. “It’s an honor.”

Meanwhile Hong Kong’s own Rex Tso take on Indonesian super flyweight Espinos Sabu, with China’s Shiming Zou set to go 12 rounds with Thai flyweight Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym.
