Angela Lee and Mei Yamaguchi are set to compete in a five round battle for ONE Championship’s inaugural women’s atomweight world title at the Singapore Indoor Stadium tonight.

With just hours to go before ONE: Ascent to Power, ONE Championship said all fighters are on track with their weight management and are expected to be ready.

Fighters will weigh-in one final time three (3) hours before the event tonight.

Lee described her bout with Yamaguchi as the biggest female MMA bout in the history of MMA in Asia.

“This is an incredible opportunity for me to become the youngest MMA champion in history, the first-ever ONE women’s world champion, and to be able to represent Singapore as its first female MMA world champion.”

Yamaguchi added she would be heading into the cage to do what she does best “and that’s fight.”

“Singapore is a beautiful country, and I’m happy to be a part of this historic event. I know Angela is the favorite, but I’m ready to give her a good fight. The best will come out on top.”

In the co-main event, Roger Gracie of the world-renowned Gracie fighting family will take on undefeated Polish fighter Michal Pasternak for the inaugural ONE light heavyweight world title.

“If I win this fight, I will wear ONE Championship gold around my waist and represent Asia to the best of my abilities as champion,” Gracie said.
