Shadow and Bones, a series based on Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse universe, is one of Netflix’s bets for this year. The fantasy story just won a trailer, showing a bit of what to expect from the plot.
Full of action and mystery, the preview shows the start of this adventure, which will take fans to a world full of intrigue, monsters and magic.

Based on Leigh Bardugo’s best-selling Grishaverse books from around the world, Shadow and Bones will take us to a world divided by war where the orphan little soldier Alina Starkov has just unleashed an extraordinary power that could be the key to the liberation of his country. With the monstrous Shadowfold menace lurking, Alina is separated from all she knows to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as the Grisha. But as she struggles to refine her powers, she finds that it’s hard to distinguish between allies and enemies, and that nothing in this luxurious world is what it seems. There are dangerous forces at work, including a team of charismatic criminals, and it will take more than magic to survive.

Shadow and Bones will arrive on Netflix on April 23 of this year.
