Movie set to feature Matt Damon’s return to the MCU

Matt Damon could be the next celebrity to play two different characters in the MCU. Indeed, according to rumors, the actor would be chosen for the next God of Thunder film – Thor: Love and Thunder.

Directed by Taika Watiti, the film is being shot in Australia under strict health protocols due to the covid-19 pandemic. Actors Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Dave Bautista (Drax) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) are already filling quarantine to keep recordings safe.

According to news.co.au, actor Matt Damon also landed in the country recently for recordings of the feature film. There is no information on the character he will be able to play in the film.

Matt Damon made a small appearance in Thor: Ragnarok

In Thor: Ragnarok, Damon made a small appearance as an actor that Loki hired to re-enact his heroic deeds. Due to all the effort put into being a part of filming during the pandemic, your role in Love and Thunder is unlikely to be a small part.

According to the CNET website, Matt Damon reportedly made the following statement to local media:

“I am very happy to be able to call Australia home over the next few months with my family. Australian film crews are world famous for their professionalism and working with them is a lot of fun, so the 14 day quarantine is well worth it. “

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to debut on May 6, 2022.
