Movie gets classic hero HQ inspired poster

While The Batman, the upcoming Dark Knight film, is still in production, iconic DC artist Lee Bermejo presented a new poster for the feature film. The art is inspired by the comic Batman: Year One, one of the hero’s most famous.

Batman: Year One is one of the many comics that inspired director Matt Reeves for the upcoming Hooded Crusader film, which promises to follow young Bruce Wayne played by Robert Pattinson. In the new poster, Bermejo borrows one of the covers from the saga. Check-out:

The comic book written by Frank Miller and illustrated by David Mazzucchelli debuted in 1987 and features what would be Bruce Wayne’s early adventures as a crime fighter, as well as the arrival of James Gordon in the Gotham Police Department.

The plot of The Batman continues to be kept under wraps, although we do know that if the hero will be early in his career, he will have to face some of his classic villains, such as Catwoman, Penguin, and Riddler.
