Marvel may be looking for an actor to live in Adam Warlock

Marvel Studios is reportedly looking for an actor to play cosmic hero Adam Warlock in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

According to The Illuminerdi, the website team has apprehended that the studio is looking to cast “a thirty-year-old Caucasian man, described as someone the size of a superhero and the ‘Zack Efron type’.”

The description catches the eye especially when he cites actor Zac Efron as an example, after all, the star known as High School Musical is one of the faces most beloved by fans to experience Warlock in the franchise.

The character, who was almost in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but was ultimately cut, is the result of a science experiment that aimed to create the perfect human being in the comics.

The post-credit scene of the second Guardians of the Galaxy film, released in 2017, had given way to the arrival of Adam Warlock, when the High Priestess of Gold, Ayesha, announces that she is creating ” the next stage of our evolution, the most powerful, the most beautiful and capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy ”. At the end of the scene, she says in all the letters that she will call her creation Adam.

The next long-awaited Guardians movie is set to start filming later this year, but some of the main characters in the Marvel cosmic franchise will be featured in the Thor: Love and Thunder movie in 2022.

As of yet, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 does not have an official release date.
