A big party!
Production of Thor: Love and Thunder has started in Australia, and film director Taika Waititi has released some footage from the first day of filming, in which he and some of the film’s cast took part in a festival in honor of the aborigines, the indigenous nations who were the first inhabitants of the country.
In addition to the photos, on his instagram, the director explained that this was the right way to start filming, encouraging other filmmakers to do the same:
“Love & Thunder started touring yesterday. We started off on the right foot with a welcoming ceremony in the land of the Gamay dancers of the nations of Gadigal and Bidiagal and a presentation and karakia [uma oração maori] by Te Aranganui. I encourage all filmmakers to find and engage with the First Peoples Nations of the place where you shoot your films. It is worth it and the right thing to do. Mauri Ora!
