Live-action series featuring Brazilian wonder Woman canceled

The news that Wonder Girl, a series starring Brazilian Wonder Woman, was in development took everyone by surprise. While she has been very successful since her announcement, Yara Flor has just arrived in the comics, making her debut in the Future State phase which debuted in December at DC Comics. Now confirmation has come that the project is not moving forward.

On Twitter, writer and showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez reported that the project had been canceled. She said:

“I have sad news. For anyone who asks, Wonder Girl was not commissioned by The CW. I was very proud of the screenplay I wrote. I wish I could share the world I created, but unfortunately that wasn’t meant to be. Thank you all for your enthusiasm. It meant a lot to me. ”
