Kevin Feige doesn’t want the movie to hit Disney +

Black Widow is one of the MCU’s most anticipated films, precisely because it has been postponed since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. After so many setbacks, fans started asking the movie to skip the movie’s premiere and come out straight on Disney + – as it did with Mulan, Soul and Raya and the Last Dragon. However, according to Variety, the reason that has yet to happen is Kevin Feige himself.

According to sources on the website, Feige has planned the entire MCU and opposes this type of hybrid launch (on the streaming platform via Early Access and in open theaters around the world):

“Having produced a number of blockbuster films, including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Ultimatum, Feige’s opinion carries tremendous weight for Disney,” the article explains. “But that doesn’t mean the powerful at the studio can’t convince Feige to change his mind – or ignore him altogether.”

Kevin Feige wants Black Widow on the big screen!

Disney CEO Bob Chapek yesterday guaranteed that Black Widow will still hit theaters:

“We still intend for the film to make its theatrical debut. We will closely monitor the reopening of theaters and the feeling of consumers returning to theaters. “

Currently, Black Widow is slated to hit theaters on May 7, however, given the Covid-19 pandemic that is not yet under control, we may have another postponement.
