Jessica Walter, actress discontinued from development, dies at age 80

According to Deadline, Jessica Walter died yesterday at the age of 80 while sleeping. The actress was known to have participated in Arrested Development and Archer. In Doctor Strange, a 1978 live-action film that loosely adapted the Marvel character, Walter played the powerful Morgana Le Fey.

Starting her career in the 1971 film Perversa Paixão, Walter received an Emmy for Amy Prentiss, a 1974 crime series. In addition to working on several projects as an actress, she was known to have lent her voice to several characters , such as The Dinosaur Family and Archer productions.

Jessica gained even more popularity for Lucille Bluth, the charismatic figure of Arrested Development, whose performance earned her another Emmy nomination and two SAG Award nominations.

Walter leaves behind a daughter, Brooke Bowman, and a grandson, Micah Heymann.

In a press release, Bowman said:

“It is with deep regret that I confirm the death of my beloved mother, Jessica. An actress who has worked for six decades, her greatest passion has been to bring joy to others, through her stories both on and off screen. Her legacy will live on through her work, but many will also remember her for her intelligence, class and zest for life.
