Jared Leto tells the story of the death of a mouse to Margot Robbie

During the filming of Suicide Squad in 2015, rumors surfaced on the internet that Jared Leto, the interpreter of The Joker, had sent bizarre gifts to his castmates. However, the star brought up the subject in a new interview.

Stories about Leto’s weird giveaways that won the media at the time of Suicide Squad’s launch – and confirmed by the cast members – claimed that he gave his comrades used condoms, pork carcasses and even a dead rat, with allegations that the latter was sent to Margot Robbie, the Harlequin.

Now, however, for GQ Magazine, Leto has denied these accusations:

“It’s interesting to see how all of these stories come to life. But I never gave Margot Robbie a dead rat, that’s not true. I actually found a place in Toronto that had some great vegan cinnamon rolls, and gave it several.

Actors like Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), however, have stated that Jared Leto sent Robbie a live rat and that she keeps him as a pet.

Jared Leto returns as Joker in the Justice League version of Zack Snyder, which is set to debut in March on HBO Max.Robbie will reprise his role as Harlequin in the Suicide Squad reboot directed by James Gunn, which opens in August in theaters and in HBO Max.
