Godzilla vs. Kong to be franchise’s shortest movie yet

Godzilla vs. Kong announced its duration on Monday (1). At 1 hour and 53 minutes, the film will be the shortest of MonterVerse, a franchise formed by Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and King of the Monsters.

The information came from French entertainment website AlloCiné, which says the film directed by Adam Wingard will be 113 minutes long. However, as of yet, no official announcement has been made by Legendary Entertainment.

Assuming the length is correct, that makes Godzilla vs Kong the shortest in the franchise, since Godzilla II: King of the Monsters is 2h12m, Kong: Skull Island is 2h, and Godzilla is 2h05m.

“Godzilla vs. Kong ‘is one of the most anticipated films of the year

While shorter, that doesn’t mean Godzilla vs. Kong will have fewer electrifying moments. The trailer for the recently shown film shows the opposite, as we will have a big and passionate battle between the two titans.

Either way, it shouldn’t take long to confirm the movie’s length, as Godzilla vs Kong opens in Brazilian theaters on March 25.
