Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey to play Ellie on the show

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the HBO series based on the famous The Last of Us has just found its protagonist. Bella Ramsey, who has won over fans like the iconic Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, will play Ellie.

Craig Mazin, head of the Chrnobyl miniseries, writes the series, being executive producer with Neil Druckmann, creator and executive director of The Last of Us. The series pilot will be directed by acclaimed Russian filmmaker Kantemir Balagov. in Cannes with its drama Beanpole.

The series will adapt the events of the famous The Last of Us, which shows humanity devastated by a dangerous virus. In the midst of it all, we have Joel and his relationship with Ellie, overcoming challenges together and trying to survive all trials while becoming a family. As already said, the HBO series will be adding scenes that were not present in the game, which Mazin says will be quite shocking.

Ramsey, who is now 17, is widely known for Lyanna, but also showed her talent in the series The Worst Witch, as well as a cameo in His Dark Materials.

The Last of Us has yet to debut.
