Although the Covid-19 pandemic is starting to normalize in the United States, thanks to the Biden administration and the vaccination campaign, the situation is not yet fully under control. As a result, the highly anticipated Fast and Furious 9 has been postponed once again. Now, according to Variety, the film won’t hit theaters until June 25, 2021.
With this postponement, the third to affect the project, Fast and Furious 9 will debut more than 12 months after its initial release date. Scheduled for release in May 2020, the film was postponed to April 2021 and, shortly after, to May.
The new date is an attempt to improve the performance of the feature film in theaters, ensuring that the franchise continues its successful trajectory on the big screen.

Another Universal movie has also been postponed: Minions: Rise of Gru, the fifth film in the Despicable Me franchise, will now be released on July 1, 2022.
