Elizabeth Olsen was unaware of the multiverse plans until filming began

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a box of surprises even for its actors. In an interview with Variety, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen admitted that she didn’t understand plans for the future until filming for Doctor Strange 2 began.

The Disney + series that wrapped up last week may have given way to the multiverse’s arrival in the Marvel franchise, but while filming WandaVision, Olsen was unsure of where the story would take her.

It was when she started preparing for the filming of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that everything started to make sense for the actress, who even understood the idea of the “multiverse”.

“I didn’t know the multiverse when we were shooting WandaVision. Therefore, I wouldn’t assume that was what was happening. I didn’t understand the big picture of the multiverse until I started working on “Multiverse,” or whatever the name of our movie, the sequel to “Doctor Strange,” ”said the actress.

We know that the consequences generated by the events of WandaVision will take place in films like Spider-Man 3, which will have the presence of Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and especially Doctor Strange 2, which in addition to Cumberbatch will also feature Olsen in the role of the witch Scarlet.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit theaters in March 2022.
