Developer gives update on game’s return to PS Store

Last month, Sony shocked gamers by announcing that Cyberpunk 2077 will be removed from PlayStation Store. According to CD Projekt Red, this was a joint decision, however, many are still wondering when the game will return, and now the developer has commented.

Those who want to play the title on their PS4 or PS5 can still purchase physical copies of the game, while those who bought it before pickup and didn’t want a refund still have it, but it’s currently not possible to ‘buy the game digitally. A specific date for the return has yet to be given, however, CD Projekt Red made a brief announcement on its website (via Comic Book), saying:

“We are working on fixes and updates and are working with Sony to bring Cyberpunk 2077 back to PlayStation Store as soon as possible.”

Several Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs did not complete correctly on PS4 and Xbox One

Previously, the official game page had already made it clear that the decision to remove the game from the store was made with PlayStation, and not a one-sided decision by Sony as many believed. Still, it will be interesting to see how long it will take for the game to return to the PS Store, since it was discontinued on December 17, 2020, almost a month ago.
