Concept art shows more of Zack Snyder’s version of the Steppe Wolf

Artist Jerad S. Mararantz, creature creator tasked with reinventing the Steppe Wolf in the Zack Snyder version of the Justice League, shared the character’s concept art on his Instagram account, showing the villain’s look in more detail. Marantz also commented a bit on the process until the final version, and it looks like the character’s armor took a while to develop (via the comic).

As seen in other images of the character, the new Steppe Wolf armor is made up of several small segments, which seems quite complicated at first. However, the artist said that once he found out what to do, it was quite simple to build it. The first image shared by Marantz shows the character with the armor, as you can see below:

The second, on the other hand, only shows the armor, which looks a bit less complex in this form, although it is still quite detailed:

Even those unfamiliar with Marantz must have seen his work before, as the artist has created designs for several other hero films, both Marvel and DC. Other of his works include Shazam! and even Avengers: Endgame. About the design of the steppe wolf, the artist said:

“It took me a while to figure out how to craft the Steppe Wolf armor in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. I remember doing a lot of experimentation on ZBrush. In the end, it’s basically a chain brush that I was able to customize. Can’t wait to see how it went! “

Zack Snyder’s Justice League recently received a new trailer, which showed some new footage. The film will be released on HBO Max on March 18. WarnerMedia’s streaming service is not yet available in Brazil, but will arrive in the country in June of this year.
