The Snyder Cup is coming!
Zack Snyder’s Justice League debut is just days away and fan expectations are high. The simultaneous release in Brazil has already been confirmed, and although the film is not arriving, several details about it are coming out bit by bit. This time it’s an art showing the new version of the villainous Steppe Wolf (Ciarán Hinds) without his armor.
On his Instagram, concept artist Jerad Marantz, who worked on the character design for Zack Snyder Justice League, posted a short video showing the version of Steppe Wolf that will be featured in the film without his prickly armor, giving more than depth and complementing the physicality of the character.
In the post, he spoke a bit about his inspirations for the character’s look, mentioning his brief appearance in Batman vs Superman:
“This is the model I delivered for production during the Justice League days. I was really surprised when I saw him at the pool with Lex. I kind of took a trip with the character’s horns. He had made an option with a hammer. If you look at the art in the book, you can see other artists incorporating this version of the design into other key concepts and frameworks. There was a game that came out at that point with a character that had hammer horns and, although I don’t remember what the game was, I felt I had to change them. I really love these horns, they connect with the New 52 version of the character. “

In addition to the armored Steppe Wolf, Marantz also posted an art showing Darkseid’s lackey on his back, this time properly outfitted in his battle gear:
What will Zack Snyder’s Justice League look like?
Zack Snyder’s latest Justice League trailers have given fans several details on what to expect from this new version of Justice League. Darkseid will have a much bigger role in the plot, which will always show him as Uxas until his rise to power in Apokolips, alongside his minions Grandma Kindness and Desaad. The Steppe Wolf is still the main villain, but he will be very different from what was seen in the 2017 film.
Characters like Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) and serviceman Swanwick (Harry Lennix), who will actually prove to be the Mars Hunter, will also be in the film, having been cut from the version that went into theaters. Additionally, Snyder recorded new scenes for the project, involving Batman (Ben Affleck) and The Joker (Jared Leto), who will appear side-by-side in the Dark Knight’s nightmare world.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League arrives in Brazil on March 18, via Apple TV, Claro, Google Play, Looke, Microsoft, Playstation, Sky, Uol Play, Vivo and WatchBr platforms. From June this year, the film will finally be exclusive to HBO Max, which will already be released in Brazil.
