The game will continue the story of Resident Evil VII.
Since the announcement of the PlayStation 5 announced, Resident Evil fans have been dying to know what the future of the franchise will look like in Resident Evil Village. Capcom showed today (21), during the Resident Evil Showcase, several news on the game.
The event that celebrates the franchise’s 25th anniversary opened with long-awaited news for fans: Different from what was previously announced, Resident Evil Village will also arrive for the current generation of consoles.
Anyone who owns a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 can pre-purchase the game, which will launch worldwide on May 7.
Village takes place a few years after the end of Resident Evil VII and will continue the dark journey of Ethan Winters, the protagonist of the previous game. Anyone who wants to learn more about its history can purchase a pack that includes RE VII and Village in one pack. Check out the new trailer:
PlayStation 5 gamers will be able to experience a bit of this story today, as a special demo will be released on PlayStation Store. To reinforce the feeling of dread, the demo will not include samples of the combat in the new game. Another version will also be available for the PlayStation 4 in the future.
