Marvel is hiding everything from everyone!
Actress Brie Larson shared in a question-and-answer session on her YouTube channel that she was completely unaware of the events of Avengers: Infinity War when she filmed Captain Marvel.
Larson had first filmed Avengers: Endgame before the heroine’s solo film, and even then she had no idea what Thanos had done in Infinity War. Even though she has recorded scenes that speak to the consequences of the Mad Titan’s nefarious act, the actress says she was never told about the story of Infinite War.
“I get a script in advance, I know what I’m doing. Of course, we create things the same day. Sometimes you’re there when it comes to turning and you realize that maybe there is an alternate line, which is just an alternate to what’s in the script, that we created the day that seems funnier or more interesting or more true. So there is still room to play. It’s not just because there is a script that “it has to be so”. But anyway, I only know my part. When I went to the Captain Marvel premiere and saw the movie for the first time, that’s where I really understood what was going on. And I really didn’t know what happened in Infinity War until the movie came out. I don’t know who filmed it or what was filmed, honestly. They kept everything a secret.
The Captain Marvel solo film was released between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame and featured the origin of the heroine who would be important in the final battle against Thanos.
Brie Larson will return as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel 2, a film set to hit theaters in November 2022.
