Uxas looks imposing with his armor!
Darkseid is one of the Justice League’s most important villains in the comics, having faced the team in multiple stories over the years. The villain would be featured in theaters in the group’s 2017 film, but was cut into the theatrical version, which was completed by Joss Whedon after Zack Snyder left.
Now we know the character will appear in all his glory in the Justice League Snyder Cut, which is slated for release in 2021. The character already appeared in the film’s first trailer as Uxas, before becoming the big one. titan who we know as Darkseid. However, new promotional arts show off the villain’s full look a bit, complete with his classic comic book armor.
The villain will have a very secondary role in the film, like the menace that rules the steppe wolf – who was already the villain of the cut feature. Since the DC Comics Extended Universe is not expected to continue the Snyder Cut storyline, it’s very likely that the character won’t appear again – at least, not the version Zack Snyder envisioned for his film.
The Justice League Snyder Cut will be released on HBO Max and may even have a limited release in North American theaters. In all, the film is expected to run for around four hours and is slated to air as a four-part miniseries on the streaming platform. In Brazil, we still do not know what will be the launch strategy for the director’s cup.
