REBEL FC is heading back to China, this time taking its eight-man knockout tournament to Beijing.

Dubbed Battle Royale: Ascension, the organisation’s second China event is scheduled to take place on 20 October at the MasterCard Center in Beijing.

REBEL, launched out of Singapore in May 2013, kick-started its push into the world’s most populated country earlier this year, featuring some hometown heros including Liu Wen Bo and Chinese MMA superstars Song Ke Nan, Qing Ge Le, Bao Yin Na, Yao Hong Gang and Makshati Sailik.

Battle Royale: Ascension will see eight fighters from the welterweight division (77kg) competing in four quarter-finals with the winners advancing to the semi-finals and grand final.

Among those competing are Mongolian wrestler Qing Ge Le (12-4), who will face relative newcomer William Namoa (2-3) from New Zealand.

Russian striking specialist Muslim Salikhov (7-1) will face Japanese judo-ka Hideto Tatsumi (8-3).

The semis and grand final will be held on another unconfirmed date and location in China.

REBEL will also hold four-international fights on the same night with featherweight Ma Jia Wen to face Wilson Managuio.

Light heavyweights Doo Hwan Kim will square off against Randall Rayment, while a strawweight match up will see Singapore’s May Ooi face Zhang Wei Li from China.
