Adriano Moraes will go head-to-head with Japan’s Riku Shibuya tomorrow to defend his flyweight belt, after both fighters made weight for their headline clash at ONE Championship’s Age of Champions.
“I’m ready to defend the honour of this world championship,” Moraes said.
“I carry the championship with pride and I do not plan on giving it up. Riku Shibuya is not going to take the championship from me I can assure everybody that.”
Flyweight challenger Shibuya said it was stated he is here to be the champion.
“I plan on beating Moraes and bringing the title back to Japan, where it belongs.”
Today’s weigh-ins saw all fighters successfully make weight for tomorrows event, including the lightweight match featuring Peter Davis (154.5lbs) vs Rajinder Singh Meena (154 lbs) and the women’s flyweight bout featuring Ann Osman (122.5lbs) vs Walaa Abbas (124.5lbs).
