This year ONE Championship introduced a 115 lbs division for the first time and one of the best prospects in the division will be making his promotional debut in 2016.

Undefeated Thai Pongsiri Mitsatit has put pen to paper on contract that will see him compete for Asia’s biggest MMA organisation.

The news was confirmed by Team Quest Thailand, the camp which has guided the Thai teenager on his journey from a being a successful Muay Thai fighter on the local scene in Chiang Mai to becoming one of the most sought after MMA fighters in the 115 lbs division.

Mitsatit is currently 6-0 and coming off four straight wins for leading local promotion Full Metal Dojo. He only turned 19 in June and has plenty of potential to improve but his record makes him an immediate contender for the ONE 115 lbs title currently held by Thailand’s Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke.

There is no word yet on when Mitsatit will be making his ONE Championship debut but he is likely to feature on the organisation’s first ever Bangkok card which was this week confirmed for the 12,000 seater Impact Arena on 27 May.
