ONE Championship has revealed its first round of events for 2016, with 14 already lined up and a further 10 more to be announced in China alone.

Part of its schedule, which will include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore, is Hong Kong, a market the Singapore-based organisation has yet to test.

ONE has set 1 July for its inaugural Hong Kong show, with Asia World Expo slated as the venue.

Also a first in 2016 will be Thailand, with a date set for Impact Arena in Bangkok on 27 May.

Victor Cui, CEO of ONE Championship, said he was very pleased with 2015 in terms of growth, as the organisation expands at an incredibly rapid pace.

“We look forward to bringing our signature brand of world-class MMA action into more cities in Asia come 2016,” he said.

“With our success in Asia and the Middle East, we are thrilled to announce that we will be entering three new markets next year, namely Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong.

“These are amazing cities with a massive following of martial arts fans and next year, these fans will get to experience ONE Championship’s superlative MMA events live.”
