ASIA’S BIGGEST MMA PROMOTION HEADS BACK TO TAIWAN IN SEPTEMBER.

ONE Championship will return to Taiwan later this year with an event which is booked for the NTU Arena in Taipei on 18 September.

Some posters have appeared on Facebook advertising a discount for anyone competing in an upcoming BJJ competition.

The Taiwan International BJJ/No Gi Championship is taking place on the weekend of 25th and 26th July at the Taipei Nangang Sports Center. The competition, which traditionally attracts grapplers from all over the region, recently signed an agreement with ONE Championship.

That deal will see participants and spectators at the 2015 Taiwan International BJJ/No Gi Championship given the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to ONE Championship’s second event in Taiwan.

Asia’s biggest MMA promotion headed to Taiwan for the first time last year for a July event which was headlined by a featherweight fight between Eric Kelly and Rob Lisita. ONE: ‘War of Dragons’ also featured local fighters Jeff Huang and Sung Ming Yen who are both likely to be back in action on 18 September.

Taiwanese heavyweight Paul Cheng will be another contender for a spot on the card. He’s won two fights out of two for ONE Championship but has been busy with acting commitments and recently starred alongside alongside Robin Williams in Night at the Museum 3.
