In what has already been a massive year for ONE Championship, the Singapore-based MMA promotion has added an additional seven shows to its busy schedule.

Kicking off from 13 August is a much anticipated debut at Macau’s Cotai Arena, where the likes of UFC and Top Rank have held a number of successful shows.

This is the promotions second attempt at the Macau market, having earmarked a Macau debut last November.

In the past years Macau emerged as a challenger to Las Vegas as the fight capital of the world, but 2016 has proved to be somewhat difficult.

With Top Rank said to be returning to Macau later this year, ONE’s event may signal a new turning point for the former Portuguese colony.

Also in August, ONE will take its brand of mixed martial arts back to Indonesia, with a 27 August show at JCC, Jakarta.

An updated schedule on ONE Championship’s website shows seven events will take place in the last five months of the year, including Malaysia, Yangon, Singapore, Manila and a return to Bangkok in December.

Details about the fights will likely be revealed in coming weeks.
