Former UFC heavyweight champion and no.8 ranked Andrei Arlovski has claimed his spot on UFC Fight Night Singapore card.

Arlovski, a product of the famed Jackson-Wink MMA Academy and a veteran of the heavyweight division, will face off against the surging Polish prodigy Marcin, who is coming off back to back knock out wins in his last two UFC outings.

The heavyweight clash was among five confirmed bouts for UFC Fight Night Singapore taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 17 June.

Also confirmed is an exciting flyweight scrap that will see Japan’s “Ulka” Sasaki (19-4-2) clash with UFC veteran Justin Scoggins (11-3).

Japanese MMA legend Takanori Gomi ( 35-12) will look to turn around three straight losses when he faces Jon Tuck. Tuck, who fights out of Hagatna Guam, is known to Asia MMA fans for winning his first performance of the night bonus in the Philippines when he submitted Korea’s Tae Hyun Bang.

Kwan Ho Kwak, a veteran of MMA in Asia, will take on Hawaiian striker Russell Doane (14-7), while heavyweight standouts Cyril Asker (8-2) and Walt Harris (9-5) will throw down in what will surely be a heavy hitting war as the two vie to make their debut in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings.

While rumours of Holly Holm taking on undefeated Korean fighter Ji Yeon Kim in the main event have been circulating in recent weeks, UFC stressed the main and co-main events have yet to be confirmed.
